Prevention and approach calve diarrhea:
Calf diarrhea can occur via several causes. With a targeted approach of calf diarrhea, a good analysis of possible causes is necessary.

• Take care of good colostrum management: a sufficient amount as early as possible.
• Exclude nutritional diarrhea: check the quantity of milk per feeding, the concentration of calf milk replacer and the drink temperature.
• Take care of a good hygiene at feeding, but also of the housing.
• Set the right diagnosis during diarrhea. Your veterinarian can make a good analysis.
• Make subsequently a plan how you want to use AGRIBOX^® Dosto^®Caps correctly.

Oregano: healing power of nature
Natural Oregano contains different active substances, which support each other by elimination of bacteria and parasites. Oregano can demonstrably reduce the excretion of pathogens through feces. This decreases the risk that other calves are infected. Oregano seems to be more effective than other essential oils. A small amount of oregano inhibits the multiplication of common pathogens better than other natural oils (Hammer et al., 1999). The different active substances in oregano damage the cell wall of the pathogen, which is thereby turned off. Oregano can demonstrably reduce diarrhea in calves (Bampidis et al., 2005).

Practice has shown that oregano can improve calf health on farms with Cryptosporidium, Coccidia, E. Coli and Clostridia.
